Meet Jeff

Jeff Tate’s life has always been rooted in hard work, problem-solving, and service.

Growing up in Hudson, New Hampshire, Jeff learned the value of responsibility early by helping in his family’s small business, Tate’s Garage. Whether remodeling cottages, maintaining properties, or rebuilding his first car, Jeff developed the hands-on skills and work ethic that still guide him today.

A top student with a passion for mathematics, Jeff graduated near the top of his class and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Northeastern University. He began his career as a surveyor before teaching himself AutoCAD and becoming a professional draftsman, later earning his Engineer-in-Training certification.

More than two decades ago, Jeff founded JAT Drafting LLC, building a successful small business through discipline, precision, and accountability.

Jeff also brings real government experience. He served 4 years on his town’s Budget Committee, as Parks & Recreation representative to the committee, 4 years on the School Board, as Vice Chair of the Kindergarten Building Committee, and as a member of multiple long-term planning and capital improvement committees.

He has worked on balancing budgets, long-term infrastructure planning, road improvement schedules, and responsible capital investments, always focused on fairness, fiscal responsibility, and planning ahead rather than passing costs to future generations.

Family

Jeff married his wife Holly in 1996, proudly calling her “the catch of New Hampshire.” Together they raised their two children, Hannah and Isaac, in a close-knit community built on respect, accountability, and service.

Nearly 30 years ago, Jeff and Holly first visited Fountain Hills and fell in love with the beauty, character, and small-town feel. Four years ago, they made it their full-time home.

Like many families here, they chose Fountain Hills for its quality of life, strong community values, and neighborly spirit, the very things Jeff wants to protect and strengthen.

Community Involvement

Jeff has always believed that if you care about something, you step up and help.

Throughout his life he has volunteered, served on local committees, supported schools, and worked alongside neighbors to improve his community. From advocating for public kindergarten to modernizing emergency equipment and planning road repairs fairly across town, Jeff has consistently focused on practical solutions that benefit everyone.

After watching growing division and disrespect creep into local government, Jeff decided it was time to serve again, this time for Fountain Hills.

He’s not running to argue or posture. He’s running to get things done.
